North Caddo Medical Center’s new facility offers many services and comforts for our community which was not present before, including a gift store. Following the request for bid process, Missy Moore, owner of New Beginnings, has been named the leasee. Missy is a native of Vivian and has been a business owner in the community for the past 7 years.
“The Gift Box”, which is the name of the store, dons the windows of the leased business. The new business opened Friday, May 19th for the first time and had a successful start. Fresh flowers, balloons, greeting cards, jewelry, stuffed elephants and more were on the shelves ready for opening. Whether one is welcoming a new baby, birthday shopping or just looking for themselves, this is a great place to be. Gifts can be delivered within the hospital as well.
Patient convenience was the influence for a gift store inside the new hospital. Many times families are needed on campus for their ill family members. Having a place to purchase necessities or something just to brighten patients and families’ day can make a positive difference in a hospital stay.
“The Gift Box is going to be a great addition to NCMC for the patients and family members, as well as the employees, many who work 12 hours shifts. NCMC is thrilled to have a local, experienced retailer operating the gift shop for our hospital and communities.” says David Jones, CEO of NCMC.
The Gift Box will be open, Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 5:30.
