Vivian, LA. – North Caddo Medical Center’s Emergency entrance is open for the public.
Construction on North Caddo Medical Center’s Emergency Department is now complete. The medical center recently made changes to their Emergency Department with the addition of three exam rooms, and redesign of the Emergency Room registration area and waiting. With construction complete, NCMC’s Emergency entrance off of Spruce Street/Dr. John Haynes Dr. is open for all emergency patients brought in by private vehicles. Patients seeking emergency care will, once again, be triaged and registered in the Emergency Department area as well.
North Caddo Medical Center began their expansion in early 2019 to accommodate the new service of MRI Unit while adding the exam rooms for the Emergency Department. Radiology services including, Mammography, Ultrasound, and Bone Density were moved to the new area. The area which these services were previously located are being remodeled to house the MRI unit. Though construction is complete in the Emergency Department, the Radiology Department is expected to be finished by the end of October. The expansion of the medical center was strategically planned not to interfere with patient services.
With the Emergency entrance now open, NCMC has put in place additional night time security for their facility. The medical center’s front entrance will be closed and locked after 8 pm, however the Emergency entrance will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Anyone entering, or exiting, the facility after 8 pm will be directed to the Emergency entrance.
